FortuneGuard Capital channels institutional and sovereign capital into Lloyd's of London — the global marketplace for specialty insurance and reinsurance risk. Our focus classes are war and political violence, terrorism, political risk, marine and energy — the specialty lines where capacity withdrawal and repricing are currently concentrated.
Capital is deployed through Lloyd's London Bridge 2 (LB2) — a protected cell company structure launched by Lloyd's in 2022 to enable institutional capital to participate in the market. Since its launch, LB2 has been used by a range of institutional investors to access Lloyd's underwriting risk.
The structure allows institutional investors to access Lloyd's specialty risk on a fully collateralised basis, with defined governance and reporting, and without the operational burden of establishing an insurance platform.
The 2026 Gulf conflict and the ongoing war in Ukraine have structurally repriced the specialty classes we deploy into. Insurers have withdrawn capacity. Attachment points have moved. The classes that trade through Lloyd's — where the world's most complex risks are underwritten — have entered a phase of sustained repricing.
FortuneGuard's analysis of this repricing was cited in The Economist (May 2026).
In 2025, FortuneGuard built and delivered the facility that reopened commercial war and political-violence insurance for Ukraine through Lloyd's — dedicated capacity for active-conflict commercial property exposures. Over $2.5 billion of asset exposure was brought to the Lloyd's market in a book that finished zero-loss, significantly outperforming the broader Lloyd's market for the class that year.
The facility was named Insurance Insider's Broking Innovation of the Year 2025.
